There is nothing more beautiful to me than the mountains of Utah. I spent half of my childhood running around at our family cabin in an area we terrifyingly coined bear hollow. And yes, bears actually lived there!! My dad helped build that cabin from a kit. His muddy foot prints are still on the logs in the rafters. My mother didn’t want to wash them off because they reminded her of how much work and love went into building our home away from home. And now that my dad is no longer with us, those footprints mean even more today. It was in those mountains that I learned to ride a motorbike and a snowmobile long before I should have. I learned to build a fire and what plants caused painful rashes. And I learned to work hard.
So, it’s no surprise that some of my favorite weddings are in those same Utah mountains. Maybe your wedding is in the spring when everything is lush and green and the wild flowers are popping up to say hello, or you choose to get married in the fall when the leaves are bursting with color, those mountains are always spectacular. This bridal shoot was no exception. The yellow wildflowers dancing in the wind that morning, were begging to be photographed. And Joce Johnson Photography captured the perfect moment when the sun peaked out from behind the cliffs. The result was breathtaking. And here’s the proof!!
